B Psych. (Hons), M.ClinPsych

Brooklyn has a passion for facilitating growth and improving youth mental health and wellbeing and aims to foster a sense of warmth and empathic connection with those she encounters. Brooklyn believes in a holistic approach in the treatment of children and adolescents and sees the importance of family support and involvement in working towards client-oriented goals.

Brooklyn has experience with conducting psychometric assessments to appraise the emotional, social, behavioural and educational status and needs of those referred for psychological services. She also has experience as an Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) Junior Therapist and worked closely with those with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Brooklyn also enjoys providing psychological counselling, behavioural strategies and evidence-based treatment, such as CBT and ACT, to youth having difficulty with anxiety and depression.

Whilst Brooklyn is a recent graduate, she has several years’ experience working in high schools along the Northshore as a counsellor and supervising and tutoring in the Boarding house. In these roles she made an effort to have a strong understanding of a student’s academic skills, emotional wellbeing, friendships at school and family life back home.

Brooklyn completed her undergraduate psychology degree and a Master of Clinical Psychology at Macquarie University. She is working towards full registration as a Clinical Psychologist.
